A Warm and Welcoming New Workspace
Located on Via Partigiani in Bergamo, this project transforms the former premises of a historic art gallery into the new corporate headquarters of an international company.
Covering approximately 510 square metres, the intervention was conceived as a careful reinterpretation of the existing spaces, with the aim of preserving the building’s original architectural character while adapting it to a contemporary workplace vision. Capponi Group oversaw the execution of the project, working in close collaboration with interior designer Barbara Frua, who developed the design concept.

The core design challenge was to convert a space originally conceived for art exhibitions into a contemporary corporate headquarters, while preserving its distinctive architectural charm and spatial quality.
The project focused on redefining the interior layout to introduce operational work areas, meeting rooms, and collaborative zones, carefully integrated within the existing structure. The objective was to create a headquarters that encourages interaction, dialogue, and productivity, while maintaining a refined, welcoming, and prestigious atmosphere consistent with the building’s original identity.
The design reinterprets the office as a warm, welcoming environment, moving away from the conventional perception of corporate spaces. Work areas are organised around large shared tables that encourage collaboration, exchange, and daily interaction between teams. These are complemented by meeting rooms and more intimate spaces, ensuring a balanced and highly functional layout.
Particular attention has been given to materials and the colour palette, which define the project’s identity. Warm tones, textured surfaces, and bespoke furnishings work together to create an atmosphere that is elegant yet informal, refined yet approachable.
Decorative lighting plays a key role in shaping the spatial experience: sculptural pendant lights and carefully positioned spotlights animate the interiors, reinforcing a sense of intimacy and warmth.
At the heart of the project, the curved central staircase stands out as a distinctive architectural element, guiding movement through the building and becoming one of its most recognisable design features.

Capponi Group led the project, overseeing and coordinating all phases of the transformation.
The complexity of the intervention required a highly integrated approach, bringing together architecture, building systems, and interior design into a single coherent process. Particular care was dedicated to enhancing the building’s existing architectural features, while ensuring consistently high-quality finishes and precise execution throughout every stage of the works.
The former art gallery is now a contemporary headquarters that combines elegance, functionality and atmosphere.
A workspace designed to welcome people, ideas and relationships, where architecture, materials and light combine to create an environment that is both prestigious and comfortable.
