Materials, light and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for a family home
In the heart of Bergamo, this project transforms a former accountancy office into a contemporary home designed to comfortably accommodate a family of four.
The 210-square-metre property, delivered in a shell condition, required a complete design-and-build intervention. Capponi Group acted as general contractor, overseeing all phases of the project and coordinating works, systems, and finishes to deliver a functional, refined, and welcoming living space. The architectural concept was developed in collaboration with architect Giada Nossa.

The main design challenge was to completely reimagine the existing layout, transitioning from an office configuration to a domestic environment designed to support the everyday life of a family.
The project therefore focused on redefining internal circulation and the overall organisation of functions, ensuring a clear and intuitive spatial logic. Particular attention was given to the creation of a dedicated utility area, separated from the main living spaces to guarantee practicality, order, and efficiency in daily use.
At the same time, the design aimed to establish a generous and welcoming living area, conceived as the heart of the home. An open and convivial space designed for entertaining guests and fostering moments of togetherness.
The heart of the home is the open-plan living and kitchen area, conceived as a bright, fluid space designed for everyday living and convivial moments. The kitchen takes centre stage, reflecting the owners’ passion for cooking and becoming a natural focal point for gathering, sharing, and connection.
The dining area is arranged around a large, welcoming table, designed to host friends and guests and to reinforce the home’s strong social dimension.
The material palette is defined by a refined balance between warm and more mineral-inspired surfaces. Natural wood parquet interacts with stone elements and stone finishes used in the bathrooms and key architectural details, creating a coherent and tactile spatial experience.
A full-height wooden wall paneling becomes a signature feature of the living area, adding warmth and character while anchoring the composition of the room. The use of wood is echoed throughout bespoke furnishings and finishes, ensuring visual continuity across the home.
In the bathrooms, natural stone and marble-effect surfaces introduce a more textured and sophisticated atmosphere, balanced by clean lines and minimalist fixtures that reinforce the overall sense of contemporary elegance.

Capponi Group oversaw the project, delivering a fully integrated service from detailed design development through to the complete construction of the property.
Starting from a shell-and-core condition, the intervention included the execution of all building systems, finishes, and bespoke furnishings.
