A Home Designed Around a Family
This renovation project on Via Paglia in Bergamo is rooted in something beyond a client brief. It grew from years of friendship and trust. Long-time friends of the Capponi Group team, the clients chose us to breathe new life into a long-vacant property, transforming it into a tailor-made family home. As general contractor, we orchestrated a targeted, fully coordinated scope of works to restore safety, functionality, and quality of living through a shared journey of design and delivery.
After years of sitting vacant, the apartment required a thorough initial clean-up and safety assessment before any works could begin. The internal layout was fragmented, and the living areas failed to make the most of natural light or everyday liveability.
The interior design brief was clear: rethink the spatial organisation from the ground up by improving flow, comfort, and connectivity between rooms. Working alongside architect Fabrello, we redesigned the entire layout, turning a disjointed floorplan into a harmonious sequence of interconnected spaces, each calibrated to meet the real, daily needs of a large family.
At the heart of the project was a purposeful reorganisation of the interior layout, making the apartment not just more functional, but genuinely suited to the rhythm of family life.
Natural light was a guiding principle throughout. Existing openings were fully exploited, and visual connections between rooms were carefully engineered to create a brighter, more open feel. The living area was repositioned as the true centre of the home, with a more fluid relationship between the lounge and kitchen that transforms how the space is experienced day to day.
Every room was tailored to the family's specific needs, through bespoke interior design solutions and carefully selected premium materials. To complete the project, the clients chose Capponi Group's signature Made to Live In service, ensuring the home was delivered fully furnished and ready to live in from day one, with every detail considered and every space brought to life.
